Eric Cederman, Broker/Owner

Cederman PropertiesSince 1998, Eric Cederman has specialized in Commercial and Residential Real Estate with a focus on Hotels, Shopping Plazas, Industrial, Multifamily, as well as Foreign Investors. Cederman has guided foreign investors who must acquire the correct type of visa (E2 or L types) for the specific type of property. It is important to comply with immigration and match the proper type of visa to the type of property a foreign investor intends to purchase.

Eric was born in Paris and raised in Salzburg Austria. He speaks fluent French and German, which is natural for him, considering his Mother was French and he grew up in Austria with his Austrian Grandfather as a child. Cederman lived in Europe until he was 32, moved to the United States, and acquired US citizenship in 1980, through his father who is a born US citizen from New York State.

Between 1977 and 1981, he lived in Corsica, initially, working in real estate and tourism. In 1981, he moved to the French Riviera in Monte Carlo where he managed one of the largest Helicopter companies based in Monte Carlo – Heli-Air Monaco (http://www.heliairmonaco.com/), the preferred transport system for celebrities, dignitaries, and royalty.

In 1985, he became an Assistant Manager at the Reception of Hotel de Paris owned by SBM (http://www.lhw.com/hotel/Hotel-de-Paris-Monte-Carlo-Monte-Carlo-Monaco) , after which he moved back to Paris with his wife, Marie-Pierre Cederman, where they both worked at Ritz Hotel Paris (http://www.ritzparis.com/en) owned by Mr. Al-Fayed. Their reach is global as they have worked and established relationships in Bermuda, England and Monte Carlo while working with 5-star Hotels.

Eric and Marie-Pierre arrived in America in 1990 and opened an exclusive French Restaurant, known as La Brasserie Restaurant in Tarpon Springs.

When the Cederman’s sold the restaurant in 1997, they decided to go into Real Estate and joined Coldwell Banker before opening Cederman Properties.

When asked “What sets you apart from other Commercial Broker/REALTORs on an international level, Eric and Marie-Pierre both agree:

“We are comfortable working with the public in general, because of our past training in the Hospitality and Management business; we understand the needs of our clients.”

“When you are working with a foreign investor looking for a million dollar business or home they have certain needs that may stand out from the average transaction and understanding this, is the key to a successful transaction.”

“Local businesses are very important as well, and staying connected with the local community is also an important factor for a successful enterprise.”

Eric is proud that they are a family operation and their son, Ian, joined the firm in 2014.

In their spare time, Eric & Marie-Pierre like to go to the theater, enjoy listening to jazz and classical music. He grew up in Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace in Austria, which influenced his taste for music.
